Curriculum: Lab 6
Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine
Course Summary
Students will gain the ability to perform tissue engineering and regenerative medicine experiments, with selected state-of-the-art methods with biomaterials, nanoengineering, developmental biology, and biomechanics. Experiments will demonstrate the assessment and manipulation of cell fate processes, cell-cell, cell-matrix, and cell-solute interactions and resultant processes of tissue formation, growth, and remodeling. To fabricate functional tissues, experiments will be integrated with theory.
Modules include:
1 : Polymer Biomaterials (Varghese)
2 : Nanoparticles (Sailor)
3 : Cell Fate and Function (Sah)
4 : Stem Cell Differentiation (Varghese)
5 : Morphogens in Development (Nigam)
6 : Nanostructures for Drug Delivery (Sailor)
7 : Biomechanical Properties of Tissues (Sah)
... and others
