Crossing Disciplinary Lines in Biomedical Research

June 15, 2007, 9am - 2pm
Weaver Center, Institute of the Americas
University of California, San Diego

Sponsored by the UCSD Interfaces Graduate Program

Call for abstracts:

We are pleased to announce that abstracts are now being accepted.  Graduate students from all disciplines are invited to submit abstracts relating to the symposium's theme, "Crossing Disciplinary Lines in Biomedical Research."  Abstracts will be considered for poster and podium presentations.  The three students selected by the organizing committee to give podium presentations will also each receive a $100 gift certificate to the UCSD Bookstore.

Abstracts should be 300 words or less and can be submitted electronically via the form below.

You DO NOT need to be a Program Affiliate to submit an abstract!

In keeping with the UCSD Interfaces Graduate Program's mission to promote interdisciplinary, multi-scale efforts in biomedical research, the best submissions will be those which:
  • Can be understood and appreciated by a broad, interdisciplinary audience
  • Include novel, interdisciplinary approaches to biomedical research
  • Are intended to link or span multiple biological scales
Abstracts are no longer being accepted.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by June 12, 2007.

Accepted abstracts will be posted on the Symposium Abstracts page.

More information about the Interfaces Research Symposium can be found at the Symposium page.
