The training program brings together collaboration from UCSD's Schools of Medicine and Engineering and the Divisions of Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences. The training program draws unique strengths from specific graduate programs and departments that facilitate multidisciplinary integration between biological science (to develop experimental model systems), physical science (to develop novel instruments and imaging techniques), computation and engineering sciences (to develop computational and analytical methods).
