Two Interfaces-NIBIB T32 training grant faculty members have been named among the 2024 Allen Distinguished Investigators by the Paul G. Allen Frontiers Group. These 14 thought leaders and innovators from around the world are pursuing world-changing scientific breakthroughs in their respective fields.

This year's projects will probe the mysteries of organelle communication and membrane biophysics to surface vital insights with the potential to advance human health. Funded by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, these six projects will each receive $1.5 million for early-stage research efforts that promise to have a catalytic scientific impact.

The Allen Distinguished Investigator program was launched in 2010 by the late philanthropist Paul G. Allen to back creative, early-stage research projects in biology and medical research with transformative potential. Allen Distinguished Investigators share a pioneering spirit, the ability to imagine possible futures of science, and the ability to create new ways of thinking to share with the world.
