Abstract

A career in industry requires a multifaceted skill set that combines scientific rigor with analytical prowess, collaborative spirit, regulatory knowledge, and business savvy. By developing these leadership skills, graduate students can position themselves for success and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of biotechnology. While graduate school prepared Dr. Hunter for a technical role in industry, it was the diverse skills he developed through various experiences outside of his research-specific projects that allowed him to excel.

During this special Interfaces Meets Industry-style Student Seminar, Dr. Hunter shared his experiences and helped students learn about the application and interview process and how to transition from academia into industry. The video of this presentation is available here.
